Two weeks after the last rally, I photographed the demonstrators at the capital in Madison, Wisconsin. There were 100,000 people marching and chanting, including a number of farmers, driving their tractors around the capital in protest of the governors policies regarding state health benefits and worker's rights. Please take a look in Collections, State House Rally 01 and 02.

On February 19, 2011, between 60 and 70 thousand people demonstrated for and against the governor's plan to end state workers' and teachers' right to collectively bargain health care and and other benefits. Here's one shot from the events of the day. I hope to publish more here soon.

Museo Silver Rag

I think my B&W prints have found a home on this Crane paper. Silver Rag is sweet inkjet paper, warm and my B&W images look pretty good printed on this paper. If I were more of a technical geek, I could discuss the finer points, but hell, better minds than mine have discussed this on the web already.

It's a great sheet of paper and worth the money to buy a box to try it out.

Got a new printer; bigger prints

I've been playing with the new Epson 3880 inkjet printer and all the reviews are true. It is incredible. It prints a 22" x 17" sheet and I've been running 20" x 16" image area prints on Hannemuhle Photo Rag Bright White. Today I'll be trying out Hannemuhle Fina Art Baryta, which is a coated paper. The black and white prints are black and white, not tinted like the old Epson R800 I was using. I'll experiment with the QudTone RIP I used with the R800 another day; the 3880 is producing really outstanding black and white prints so far. Printing geek fun.
