I've never seen a tripod rattle and roll the way mine did last December 25th as I tried to shoot a Railbox car in Middleton, WI. I bought a pair of gloves with the fingertips removed expressly for the purpose of shooting during the winter. That was a joke. This is Wisconsin and although there was no snow, it was still pretty cold. I never finished shooting the car, a good one, too, but still managed to get a few striking images, one which became a favorite.
